These ten services are the plumbing and heating work we arrange across Fulham, Parsons Green, West Kensington and West Brompton, answered 24 hours a day on 07898 117754. Each is carried out by an independently owned partner company that quotes in writing first, and each has its own page with local detail. If you are not sure which fits, the contact page explains how the call goes, and how the network works sets out the network.
- Emergency Plumbing — floods, leaks, failed stopcocks and overflowing cisterns, with the first minutes talked through on the phone.
- Emergency Boiler Repair — lockouts, lost pressure and no hot water, with hard-water scale a common cause across SW6.
- Blocked Drains — rodding, jetting and CCTV surveys for Victorian clay drains and combined sewers.
- Leak Detection & Repair — hidden leaks traced with acoustic listening and thermal imaging before anything is opened up.
- Burst Pipe Repair — frost splits, failed joints and old lead or galvanised pipework, isolated and mended.
- Boiler Servicing — annual service with flue gas analysis, scale checks and a written report for you or your landlord.
- Boiler Installation & Replacement — combi, system or regular, with flue planning and building control notification.
- Central Heating Repair — cold radiators, pumps, valves and system cleansing to BS 7593.
- Hot Water Cylinder Repair — vented and unvented cylinders, elements, tundishes and replacements under Part G3.
- Toilet & Tap Repair — running cisterns, weak flushes and dripping taps put right to the Water Fittings Regulations.
Which Services Matter in Which Part of Fulham
The housing divides the work, and so does the ground beneath it.
Terraces and Lion Houses Around Parsons Green
Large late-Victorian houses with lofts and basements, a conservation area and old pipework behind modern interiors lean towards boiler installation, cylinder work and leak tracing. See Parsons Green plumbers page.
Mansion Blocks and Converted Flats in West Kensington
Shared stacks, risers and communal heating make leak detection, blocked drains and heating repair the busiest. See West Kensington mansion blocks.
Stucco Terraces and Basements in West Brompton
A buried creek, now a combined sewer, makes drainage and basement back-up the local theme. See West Brompton area page.
Two Local Facts Under Every Quote
Two things shape a Fulham plumbing job before anyone picks up a tool.
Hard Water: 266 mg/l of Calcium Carbonate
Thames Water's 2025 report gives 266 mg/l of calcium carbonate for the City supply area, in its hard band of 200 to 300. Scale forms on heat exchangers, cylinder elements and tap cartridges, so annual servicing and descaling matter more here than in a soft-water area.
Old Pipes and a Combined Sewer
Most of SW6 and W14 went up in the 35 years after the District line arrived in 1880, so lead, early copper and cast-iron stacks still lurk behind renovated rooms. Hammersmith and Fulham names an ageing sewer network as its main flood risk, which is why drain clearing and basement protection come up so often.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the ten services, and how were they chosen?
They are the ten plumbing and heating jobs a Fulham household is most likely to need in an emergency or on a planned basis: emergency plumbing, boiler repair, blocked drains, leak detection, burst pipe repair, boiler servicing, boiler installation, central heating repair, hot water cylinder repair, and toilet and tap repair. We built the list around the type of housing in SW6 and W14, which is mostly Victorian terraces, mansion blocks and converted flats. Rarer specialist work can follow later.
Who actually carries out the work?
Every job is done by an independently owned local plumbing and heating company from our partner network, not by our own staff. We take the call, find the partner who can get to you soonest and is suited to the work, and text you their name before they arrive. The partner quotes in writing, does the job, invoices you directly and takes payment itself. We handle no money and chase any problems afterwards.
Is the price fixed before work starts?
The partner company gives you a written quote before work begins, and it should change only if you agree to extra work or if something unforeseeable turns up, such as a corroded fitting hidden behind a wall. In that case they should explain it and get your agreement first. We do not set prices ourselves and any ranges on this site are published London averages for 2026, not quotes. You are never obliged to accept a quote.
Which standards does the work follow?
Plumbing work is carried out to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, and drainage to Building Regulations Part H. Boiler and heating work follows the manufacturer's installation instructions, with boiler replacement notifiable under Part L and flues covered by Part J, and the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 govern work on gas appliances. System cleansing follows BS 7593, and unvented cylinders fall under Part G3.
Which service is the busiest in Fulham?
Boiler and heating faults dominate in cold weather, because boilers fail when they are working hardest, and Thames Water's hard supply, 266 mg/l calcium carbonate in its 2025 report, makes scale a standing cause. Leaks, burst pipes and blocked drains are the next biggest group, particularly in Victorian terraces and converted flats where pipework is old. A boiler service is the cheapest way to avoid the busiest category.
How do you separate an emergency from a job that can wait?
On the call we ask what is happening, whether water or heat is being lost and whether it can be contained. Active flooding, a burst pipe, a boiler failure in freezing weather or sewage backing up are treated as emergencies. A dripping tap or a radiator that needs bleeding can usually wait for a daytime visit, which is also cheaper. We will tell you honestly which category yours is and let you choose.
What if my problem does not fit any of the ten?
Ring anyway. The ten pages describe the main services, but partner plumbing companies handle many related jobs such as bathroom leaks, radiator replacement, outside taps and appliance connections. We describe the problem to the partner and tell you if it is outside what they can do. If that happens, we say so on the call and do not leave you waiting.
Do you cover all of Fulham?
Yes. We cover Fulham, Parsons Green, West Kensington, West Brompton, Sands End and Imperial Wharf, plus nearby SW6, W14, SW5 and SW10 streets. Parsons Green, West Kensington and West Brompton each have their own page with local detail. If your address is slightly outside, ring and tell us the postcode, because a partner may still be able to reach you.
Do I need to be at home when the plumber comes?
For most jobs someone should be present to let the plumber in and agree the work. If you cannot be, for example if you are a landlord, tell us when you call, and we can pass on key-holding or tenant access arrangements to the partner. You should never be asked to pay on the doorstep without a written quote, and you will have had a text with the company's name before they arrive.
What happens if something goes wrong after the job?
Raise it with the partner first, because they carried out the work and are best placed to put it right. If it is not resolved, ring us on 07898 117754 and we will chase it with them on your behalf. We cannot promise a particular outcome, since your contract is with the partner, but one number that stays on the problem is the point of the network. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.
